FAQ:

1.      Why a cane?

  • It is an extremely versatile self-defense tool that is easily acquired and goes unnoticed- therefore it can be taken almost anywhere. The cane is great for maintaining distance, striking, grappling and throwing if necessary.

2.      Is Cane Jitsu good for people who actually need a cane?

  • Yes! The techniques we focus on are designed to be useful and accessible whether you need the cane as an ambulatory aid or not.

 3.      I am not a martial artist. Is Cane Jitsu hard to learn?

  • No. We have designed the curriculum to contain a set number of basic postures and attacks. This was done purposefully to create a strong, accessible base where once you have the basics down, you will be able to defend yourself rapidly, and can grow your knowledge exponentially- if you choose.

4.      Can I study just cane?
