Our bokkens are made from the finest hand picked woods that are personally selected by the craftsman for superior beauty, quality, and durability.  When you get a bokken from us, you aren't just getting a piece of wood...you are getting a piece of art!

Bokkens that are laminated have our distinct mekugi like pegging throughout the weapon that adds to the functional durability as well as the aesthetic quality that we are known for.

The Ono Ha Itto-ryu bokken

This bokken is modeled after the style of bokken used by practitioners of Ono Ha Itto-ryu which is a sword style that was studied by Sokaku Takeda.  This is many times considered to be a companion art of Daito ryu Aikijujutsu.  The bokken can be made out of one single piece of impact grade hickory,  2 pieces of exotic wood of your choice with a core of impact grade hickory, or 2 pieces of exotic of your choice.

Aikiken Style Bokken

This bokken is the traditional style of bokken used by many Aikido practitioners.  Due to its rounder geometry it can absorb impact easily and won't be easily broken.

Jigenryu Style Bokken

This style of bokken boasts a broad body throughout and can withstand the heaviest of impact.  The Jigenryu style is noted for its speed and ferocity of attack.

Iwama Style Bokken

The Iwama Style Bokken is modeled after the bokken used in Iwama by Morihiro Saito Shihan and has become a favorite of Aikidoka everywhere.  Sleek in body with the signature blunt tip, it is a quick and resilient weapon.

Tanto

Our Tanto are as distinct as our bokken.  You can order them in hickory or exotics.  The tanto pictured above has 2 pieces of Brazilian Ipe with a Northland Poplar core.  These make a splendid gift for your martial artist, or treat yourself!
